The Joe Illustration came as a result of a class project. We were assigned with creating a playing card that could be expanded into a full set of playing cards. I chose the theme of coffee because of how many different “character cards” could be developed from it.

I used fluid shapes and organic and natural textures and colors to help communicate the overall theme of coffee.
